Our Services
Highlands Haven offers a range of activities and opportunities including;

Support with accessing benefits, education and employment.

Life skills and looking after their health and wellbeing.

This entails support and guidance to complete duties such as cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, ironing, running errands and other services. It can include:

Facilitating access to social and healthcare appointments and other appointments

Practical support to access and attend healthcare and welfare appointments (GP, Dental, Optician, Physiotherapist, Counselling Services etc)

Practical support – for example meal preparation.

Information and signposting

Psychological, emotional and personal support, taking out for a walk.

Increasing social engagements/contacts to enable maintaining connection with the community.

Community trips, shopping, and day trips to places of their interest including restaurants and cinemas.

Supporting adults to have opportunities that other adults have access to.

The Organisation is geared to looking after adults, who require the services for supported living with a focus for preparation for independent living in the community.
Age groups: Adults requiring supported living to prepare for independent living, aged 18years old and above.
Service user bands:
Adults with varying levels of needs, requiring supported living accommodation, including in transition preparing for independent living.
• Care leavers seeking support to prepare for adult life
• Adults with a diagnosis of learning disability (LD) and/ or autism, and those with a mental health (MH) condition, presenting with varying levels of needs, requiring supported living accommodation, in preparation for independent living.
• Adults with a diagnosis of learning disability and/ or autism, and those with a mental health condition, who may also have a physical disability
• Adults with any other history which impacts on their ability to live independently.
The house can accommodate adults who are wheelchair users.
(If required, personal care to be provided by a care agency or other, of their choice, which is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Highlands Haven Ltd will not provide any personal care)
Our service includes the provision of supported living accommodation and support services in the community, to individuals for whom these have been commissioned by the Local Authorities/ Social Services.
Service user bands:
• Adults with a history of mental health problems, with varying levels of needs, requiring supported living accommodation, in transition preparing for independent living.
• Adults with a history of mental health problems with physical disability
(If required, personal care to be provided by a care agency or other, of their choice, which is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). At the moment, Highlands Haven Ltd will not provide any personal care)
Our service includes the provision of supported living accommodation and support services in the community, to individuals for whom these have been commissioned by the Local Authorities/ Social Services.
Types Of Placements
Short Term Placement- up to three months: Emergency / Unplanned: For adults experiencing family breakdown, housing support breakdown or remand to Local Authority care by courts.
Medium Term Placement - three months to one year: Planned Placement which extends beyond three months. The engagement and focus of this placement is to provide the adult with a supportive environment whereby they can meet the outcomes identified as part of their care and pathway plan.
Long Term Placements - one year plus: Planned placements beyond one year - additional services offered to adults who have been accommodated for over one year and require longer term placements and transitional support services into independent living.
There is also a focus on transitional planning that leads beyond the adult’s current circumstances and prepares them to develop skills ready for independent living.
We can also offer services for adults who require intensive supervision and interventions to manage the presenting risks in a safe, stable and monitored environment. This may include facilitating the engaging in professional services, being linked to counselling and therapist services we can utilise.
The Organisation offers its services to service users irrespective of their race or ethnic, origin, creed, colour, religion, political affiliation, marital status, parenthood, sexual gender, sexual orientation, and disabilities or impairments. The sole criterion for accepting a service user is the perceived ability of the Organisation to provide assessed care needs.
